LP Students Volunteer Leader Application

Expectations and Application for those who wish to serve in our Youth Ministry!

OUR MISSION

LifePointe Student Ministry is a place for students to be seen, known, loved, and heard while also being challenged in their faith. Our hope is that people on the outside looking in, whether Christian or not, could only glorify the Father based on the fruit of our Student Ministry (Matthew 5:16). Equipping students to shine their light everywhere they go so that the Father would be glorified is accomplished through intentional events, biblical teaching and training, purposeful relationships, and our weekly programming.

OUR PROGRAMS

1. Thursday Night @ 6:30pm (TNS - Everyone!) - Every Thursday night at 6:30 we
meet at LifePointe for a time full of games, worship, teaching and small
groups. This is our highest priority for students and leaders as it is our most
attended program.
2. Sunday during 2nd service (All Students 7th-12th) - Every Sunday during
second service, students join us in the Foundry for a game, worship, table
discussion, and teaching.
3. Events - This includes Hype Nights, Park Days, Camps, Mission Trips and more!!

OUR VISION FOR VOLUNTEER LEADERS

Leaders are a vital part of our ministry. Our hope is that Leaders like you would connect
with the students. From leading small group times, to joining in games, we want you to
build relationships with these students and be a mentor to them. Students always need
more Godly influences in their lives and more people to talk to about what is going on in
their own life. Leaders can have incredible impact on the life of a student and that’s why
we want you to come lead these students with us!

WHAT IS REQUIRED OF A LEADER?

- Leaders faithfully attend weekend worship services at LifePointe.

- Leaders have plugged themselves into the community of LifePointe, seeing the
importance of growing in their own faith as they seek to mentor Students.

- Leaders attend all Thursday Night Services, from 6-9pm. This is our main event and it is vital that we
have all of our leaders there.

- Leaders are expected to run small groups that are broken up by grade/gender each week.

- Leaders are committed to serving as a small group leader for at least one calendar year.

- Leaders serve at our Sunday Morning service for Students (2nd service).

- Leaders attend as many events/camps as they can.

- Leaders give input and ideas into our ministry, events, topics, and take initiative in their
own ministering to the students around them.

- Leaders have no major disagreements with LifePointe’s statement of faith and are
expected to be “on board” with LifePointe as a whole. Unity of the body of Christ is vital
to healthy ministry!

- To have attended 'Next Steps'
